Ann Nancy Wilson of Heart

Heart is a rock group born out of Seattle, WA in 1973 spearheaded by leading sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson. The group was actually founded in 1963 by Steve Fossen (Bass) and brothers Roger and Mike Fisher. Ann and Nancy joined the group in the early 70's, Mike left to become the band's sound engineer, and the band added Howard Leese (Keyboards) and Michael Derosier (Drums) in 1975 and they recorded their debut album `Dreamboat Annie' in 1975 (Mushroom Records). In 1978 Roger left the band after breaking up with Ann and the band went on to record `Bebe Le Strange' (1980) and also went on tour after which Fossen and Derosier left only to be replaced by Mark Andes (Bass) and Denny Carmassi (Drums). The group fell into a rut and in the early 90's both sisters took time off to form `The Lovemongers', including both sisters Sue Ennis and Frank Cox. They released an EP in 1992, which included a cover of Led Zepplin's `The Battle of Evermore'. The girls returned to Heart in 1993 and recorded two more albums with Fernando Saunders (Bass), Denny Fongheiser (Drums), and John Paul Jones (Bass) who replaced Andes and Carmassi on the last two albums.
